A conversation, a dialogue between friends trying to understand "how to be a Christian" together. A discussion in which we reserve the right to recant and not believe what we've written here and thus, take ourselves as seriously as a cow's opinion.

The Quotable

John DelHousaye posted this quote on his site the other day. I like it so much, I'm posting it here!

Whatever God mourns over, he will one day make right. Why? Because he has the desire and power to do so. Why not already? Because his children are a part of what is being made right. To demand God's justice would be my own damnation. But to miss an opportunity to do right, especially when it is within our power to do so, is an even greater damnation.

My prayer: Lord, in the light of all the natural (and unnatural)disasters in this world may Your church rise up to be a force for Good, for Kindness, for Justice, for Love...that the world may catch a glimpse and have a taste of Who You are and what Your Kingdom is. May we live out Jesus' prayer - "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Forgive me as I have often missed opportunities to do right. Teach me to mourn over that which You do.
