Puritan Prayer
Tara, you very much convicted me on re-working time. I want to meet with the Watchmaker throughout my day and live my life in seasons. I so value that idea. Thank you! Let's talk more about how we can do that at our next Monday morning...
I wanted to share this Puritan prayer that a good friend of mine in San Antonio shared with me today while explaining what she's learning about herself and her christianity.
"Let me learn by paradox
that the way down is the way up,
that to be low is to be high,
that the broken heart is the healed heart,
that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
that to have nothing is to possess all,
that to bear the cross is to wear the crown,
that to give is to receive,
that the valley is the place of vision."
This struck me because I just feel as if my christianity is almost the opposite of what I thought. That God is revealing His true kingdom come and I am not living it.
